MobilePD, Inc. announced ADVISE, an internal notification platform for police departments to share mission-critical information in real-time to officers and employees. Additionally, MobilePD is reinforcing its commitment to improve public safety communications by outfitting every public safety command staff in America with MobilePD ADVISE for free.

Police departments across the US lack the technology needed to effectively communicate with each other, and a significant portion of public safety agencies still use pagers for messaging and communications. However, agencies are slowly beginning to provide smartphones to their officers and employees, providing a massive opportunity to improve communications.

ADVISE fills the technological needs of officers by enabling police departments to send real-time, data-rich notifications directly to their officers and employees ranging from general bulletins to emergency alerts in the event of an active shooter or officer involved shooting. It can also help field officers during active situations such as a SWAT team raid, by sending directions, maps, floor plans or photos and descriptions of the suspect.

“Police Departments have access to more data than ever, but lack the technology to make this data actionable in real-time. We founded MobilePD to empower police officers with technology that can improve internal communications between police departments and their employees, and create an information sharing layer for public safety,” said Kushyar Kasraie, founder and CEO of MobilePD. “With the launch of ADVISE, we further this mission by putting real-time data into the hands of police departments to better assess and react to evolving situations.”
